How can I book a train ticket from Beijing to Badaling?

There is no need to book the ticket in advance. The seats on those trains are unnumbered, so even if you get a ticket in advance, you may not have a seat if you board the train late. Just go to take the train earlier and you'll have a seat.
The tickets are only available at the North railway station.
