About:Leshan Attractions

LeShan Giant Buddha and Mt. EMei, Golden Summit on 1st Sept 2011.

I would like to visit the two sites within 1 day on 1st Sept 2011. What is the best way to do this as I will be staying in Chengdu, HongXing Road.

Take bus from Xinnanmen Coach Station, about 2 hours to Giant Buddha. Then take bus to Emeishan. You mean you will be back to Chengdu from Emeishan the same day. If so, I don't think it is possible.
