Walk up Purchase for Train Ticket in Hangzhou

Hi there, is it possible if I walk up to the counter to buy a return ticket for Hangzhou - Shanghai - Hangzhou routes on the (same) day I want to travel. Going to Shanghai on 3/9/2011 and return on 5/9/2011. Thanks.

Yes, you can walk up to the counter to buy a return ticket for Hangzhou - Shanghai - Hangzhou routes on the (same) day you want to travel. Well, I think it is no need to buy a return ticket since there are many trains running daily from Shanghai to Hangzhou. You cna get ticket upon your arrival at the train station when back.

Thanks Sara. Do appreciate it very much. Reason being I asked this because I am worried I could not get my ticket to Shanghai and vice versa. Btw, I do appreciate it if you can share with me the best time to catch the outbound and inbound trains. I'll be flying home to Kuala Lumpur on 5/9/2011 at 2.30pm.
