Visa for my wife, son, daughter as dependant for two years

I left Bangladesh by 29 June/2011 for post doctoral research in Southwest university, China (X-visa). I have monthly salary, a family quarter. My visa already has been extended for two years. Now , I wish to bring them for two years as dependant. I will send invitation letters for my family members from me, departmental professor, and also from south west university. But, chinese embassy, Bangladesh said to my wife that they need bank statements, air tickets. Why ? Please inform me the solution.

If the Southwest University can help you to get the Confirmation Letter of Invitation from Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office, the China embassy in Dhaka won't ask for the bank statements or air tickets.

I know that you want your wife, son and daughters to get a dependant visa for two years, it is ridiculous for the embassy to ask for the air ticket, however, I guess that embassy justs wants to issue L visa for family visit for them, the L visa is single entry, 30 days stay duration in China.

Besides the Confirmation Letter of Invitation from Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office, you also need to send them the copy of your passport, 2 years residence permit.
