About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

My China visa has not arrived, how can I do?

I am freaking out, I sent my applications off by recorded next day delivery on the 3rd of August and I have not received anything back yet. I'm leaving for Scotland on Monday, and need my passport. Do they send visas or do you need to go collect them?

Michael, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you have to submit visa application to Consulate General of China in Edinburgh in person or ask someone else to submit it on your behalf. The consulate doesn't accept visa application by post. Then you have to pick up the visa in person or ask someone else to pick it up.

If you live in other parts of UK, you can send your application to CVASC in London or Manchester by post.

They should put this more clearly on all the websites.
