Is it safe to travel by long distance bus from Shanghai to Yongkang City?

I was asking about going from shanghai to yongkang city zhejiang province but some people from China told me bullet train is not safe, is this right? and want to know if bus is safe. Thieves can rob people on the bus?? Thanks for your answer
