Directions and mode of transport from Harmony Hotel to Forbidden City

Can we walk? or should we take Subway, bus or Cab? How much? Thank you

You may walk to Beijing railway Station west to take bus no.103 to Forbidden City directly, about 35 minutes and rmb1. if by cab, about 15 minutes and rmb20.
