when coming to china do i have to pay for the hotel and ticket before the interview from nigeria

Yes, you need to make an appointment for interview first, then, go to Chinese embassy on the appointed date for an interview and submit your application with all required documents, including hotel reservation in China and round-trip ticket between Nigeria and China.
