getting from the airport to the hongqiao railway station

Question

We arriving Shanghai around 7 AM and plan to take the fast train to Beijing. I understand that we have to take the train from the Hongqiao Railway Station? How do we get there? How long it will take to get there?

The high-speed trains are departing from Shanghai Hongqiao train station to Beijing. From Pudong airport, you can take subway line 2 to Hongqiao train station directly, which takes around 1.5hrs. Or, you could take the airport shuttle line 1 to Hongqiao airport first and then take a taxi to the train station.

Getting from the airport to the Hongqiao Railway Station
