Can I bring my art supplies to China?

I do origami. According to TSA: scissors are allowed if they are less than four inches, and pliers are also allowed if they are less than 7 inches in length. If i meet these requirements may i bring those things?
Can i also bring a bottle of glue or does that count as a liquid?

I think there's no problem to bring these things in, including the glue. But all these things can be bought in China. Why do you bother to put weight to your luggage?
