About:Chinese Embassy in Seychelles

I am taking a cruise to Asia and have several sequential stops, is a single entry Ok?

When I disembark from the ship at the first Chinese port and present my visa, I am assuming that it will be stamped. Is this correct? The ship will be sailing in Chinese waters to the subsequent ports. I am also assuming that means that I am still in. Is this correct? My main reason for asking is to determine if I only need to apply for a single entry. Your help will be most appreciated.

Thank you Ms Elliott for your reply to my initial question. I have asked the office in Vancouver about a multiple entry and was told that I am not eligible to receive one. Only people who have traveled previously or business men are allowed a multiple entry. This does not seem logical or inviting to people who want to visit many cities. They will lose a lot of income from tourism if this is correct. Is this information correct?

Val, in fact, a single entry is ok for aliens to visit many cities, but your situation is different, you take a cruise to stop at some Chinese ports. Now, please don't worry, just try to apply for multiple entry, the final decision is up to the officer, if you are issued a single entry, you don't need to be nervous. Just take the single entry for the cruise, if you need a new entry to enter next port, you can try to apply for a stay permit at the office of the port, then your passport will be stamped a stay permit.

You'd better apply for a multiple entry, please show the travel itineray of the cruise to the officer to prove you need a multiple entry.
