what is the best scenery in xiamen, fujian?

we arrive Xiamen 2pm saturday and leaving Xiamen to Shantou the next day Sunday afternoon, what is the best scenery place for us to visit?  also which Hotel (3-4 star) to recommend?

The most visited spot in Xiamen should be the Gulangyu Island. Upon arrival, you could take a taxi to the ferry port and transfer to Gulangyu for one-night stay. On the island, there are many hotels and characteristic inns for your choice.
