About:Jinshanling Great Wall Map

How long is hike to unrestored section of wall and watchtower?

We're interested in the charm of the unrestored section of the Great Wall but cannot do a long hike. Simatai looked like a perfect selection but it is now closed for restoration?

How long is the hike to unrestored sections - and an unrestored watch tower at Jinshanling? Do cable cars go to the unrestored sections?

Lastly, how many snakes are we likely to meet along the way

Yes, Simatai is still closed now. About 4 hours at Jinshanling, and yes, there is cable car. As to snake, I didn't see any but you may see once in a way.
