Where could I do shopping in Shanghai?

which is best to stay east/west Nanjing Road for cheap shopping

Actually, it is one road, consisting of two parts. If possible, it is suggested that you stay on West Nanjing Road, close to Jing'an Temple, where you could find department stores and boutiques easily. On East Nanjing Road, there are also some top shopping centers and time-honored shops.
