About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

How much would the train (soft sleeper) from Hong Kong to Chengdu cost please?

It looks like you could ride the train from Hung Hom to GZ East railway station and then board the train to Chengdu for the rest of the journey. Are those GZ East to Chengdu equipped with soft sleepers? Also, can we book a hard sleeper compartment for a party of 4? Thank you

Yes, no direct trains are available from Hong Kong to Chengdu. But you could make a transfer at Guangzhou. From Guangzhou to Chengdu, 4 trains are available and soft sleeper ticket costs around CNY738 each on train K827/K830. Hard sleeper compartments are open and there are six fixed berths, arranged as an upper, middle and lower on either side. Thus, if taking hard sleepers, you four need to share the cabin with others. However, only four berths are equipped in the soft sleeper cabin.
