bus 918 to the jingdong grand canyon beijing?

It says on chinatravelguide that i have to take bus 918 from dongzhimen to pinggu bus station, and then transfer to bus 12 to the jingdong grand canyon, but i heard that bus 918 goes directly to the grand canyon without transfer, which of the two is true?

The direct 918 bus is available in peak season and only one bus at 7:30am in the morning, back at 16:00. If you miss the bus, you would transfer another bus to the canyon. I am not sure about the peak season, because someone say it is only available in weekend, some say every day, perhaps it is not available in cold winter.
