There is no passenger train station in Cixi. By train, you could take one to Yuyao first and then take a bus to Cixi with half an hour. Or, you could take a bus to Cixi directly from Shanghai south bus station. However, the last bus’ departure time is 18:15. And the last train to Yuyao departs at 17:45. Thus, it is better for you to stay one night at Shanghai and then go to Cixi on the next morning.
