About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

I am transiting through Shanghai Pudong airport from Phuket going on to Amsterdam. UK Passport holder.

I arrive at 0730 am and leave at 2335. Some 16 hrs. Can I leave the Airport or is there a Hotel within Transit area that I can stay at.

Yes, you could leaving the airport for downtown Shanghai without visa. The transit time will be enough for you to have a brief view of this city.
