I have plans to stay in the Lu Long Grand Hotel, but only if it's convenient to go by myself to, for example, to qinhuangdao beach.

The famous beach in Qinhuangdao should be Beidaihe, which is located about 60km from the Lu Long Grand Hotel. You should hire a taxi driving to the beach, or take a coach to downtown Qinhuangdao for Beidaihe.
