About:Xian Travel

We are planning a trip to Beijing in late Aug 2012 for a few days then to Shanghai, Xian, HK, Macau

total time will be 3 weeks including Yangtze river cruise for 3 days. How hot does it become? is it unbearable for touring? Are there holidays during this period that may affect our touring?

It is the hot summer days in China at the late of August. The average high temperature can be up to 35C, but it is bearable. You need to wear summer cool clothes such as short-sleeved T-shirts and shorts. It is the end of summer holiday and it won't effect much on your trip.
