One day enough for Badaling Great Wall and Badaling National Forest Park?

I plan to visit the Great Wall this autumn and also appreciate the red leaves at the Badaling National Forest Park? Is one day enough for those two sites? How could I get there from downtown Beijing? Thanks very much in advance.

The place to see the red leaves in the forest park called Hong Ye Ling (Red Leave Mountain). It can be arranged in one day with Badaling Great Wall. I suggest you go there after Oct 10, when the red are turning red and there is special 919 bus route running from Deshengmen Arrow Gate to the place.

One day is enough. You could take a morning train from Beijing north Railway Station to Badaling, then follow the direction boards to Badaling Great Wall. Stay there for the morning. In the afternoon, still follow the direction boards from Badaling Great Wall to the forest park.
