About:

What is a good way to travel from Kunming to Dali, and from Dali to Lijiang?

I understand that there is now an express train from Kunmng to Dali starting around mid 2011, If so, I would appreciate it very much if someone can provide me with more details........schedule, travel time, where to take it from Kunming etc? Thanks.

There seems no express train from Kunming to Dali, only K-train , the fast train, running between Kunming and Dali. You can take the train from Kunming Railway station and the train journey is about 6-7 hours. You can find details about the train from this webpage: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ .
From Dali to Lijiang, you can either take train or bus.
