About:Map of China Provinces & Cities

How long is it by train from Beijing to Xian and then from Xian to Shanghai?

What is the best way to travel between these places. How many days should I stay in Xian and how many in Shanghai to see the main sights etc.

About 12-13 hours by train from Beijing to Xian and at least 14 hours from Xian to Shanghai, generally 16 hours. I think 2 days in Xian and 2-3 days in Shanghai.
