Question about China visa processing time

I am an American in Japan. I'm trying to figure out the best way to organize my Chinese visa--is it possible to get a visa on the same day you apply for it?

Yes, it is possible to get a China visa in Tokyo from Chinese embassy, but you are required to submit your application in the morning and pay extra service fee for rush service.
