seen Beijing twice,Shanghai twice, Xian, done the river 3 day cruse, we like eating authentic local food, shopping for mens, and women clothes& shoes, electronic gear, & take in cultural and historical stuff.

For visiting, you can go to visit  Bright Filial Piety Temple, Yuexiu Park, The Pearl River, White Cloud Mountain,  Chimelong Resort, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Western Han Nanyue King's Tomb Museum and Nansha Tianhou Palace in Guangzhou.  For dining, you can go to Tianhe Lu or Biejing Lu. For shopping, you can go to Beijing Lu, Shangxia Jiu Lu Pedestrian Street, Haizhu Square or guangzhou train station area.  Well, I think 2-3 days are OK for visiting Guangzhou. By the way, you can have a visit to Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macau and Hong Kong.
