About:China Visa

should I apply for Chinese visa in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan or back in Denmark?

Hi I am a Danish Citizen wanting to travel From Tajikistan to Pakistan. I have figured that I have to go into Kyrgyzstan and cross into China at the Irkeshtam pass and then get to the Border of Pakistan. My question is then should I apply for Chinese visa in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan or back in Denmark? Is there any rule or ways of doing this trip that best way. Please advise. Thank you

JensPeter, it is very hard to give you assuring answer for the visa application in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan or back in Denmark. I can only say that you have to try to apply China visa in Taijikstan or Kyrguzstan. China visa application in a third country varies from place to place, in some countries, the China embassy asks applicants to provide valid work permit / residence permit to prove their legal status in the country. Generally speaking, only long-term residents can get a China visa in the country where they apply. If the application are denied in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, you have to return to Denmark to get a China visa.
