About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Where to apply visa to China? I work and live near San Francisco with Canada passport

I work and live near San Francisco with Canada passport, When I went to China Consulate in SF was told first time applicant for visa to China, who has ever had China passport need go back to Canada. Where (which consulate) should I go to apply for the visa to China?

According to China visa regulation, you need to apply for visa from Chinese embassy or consulate over the area of your residence in Canada, which holds consular jurisdiction of your residence place.
