I am a Canadian citizen. I am currently in China with a double entry visa. I am planning to visit Cambodia but I would like to also visit Japan, as I have family there. I would like to know if it is possible to get another visa for China for single entry so that I can leave China to go to Japan, then come back into china for a few days (which will use up my visa that I currently have) and then use my new visa that i apply for in Japan to go to Cambodia for a couple of weeks and then again come back into China for a few days, and then leave togo back home to Canada? It sounds a little convoluted but all I need to know is if I am able to get another single entry visa when I already have a double entry visa and that voth visas will be valid to use. Thank you. I also speak Japanese if Japanese is easier to correspond in. Thank you

It is possible to get second visa if you already have a double entry China visa in Japan, however, the problem is that your double entry will automatically expire when you get a new visa. Only one China visa is valid at the same time. I'm afraid that you have to change your itinerary. You present travel plan is China-Japan-China-Cambodia-China-Canada, when you return to China from Japan, your double entry visa is used up, therefore, you can't come back to China again from Cambodia because it is hard to get a China visa in Cambodia. You can change your travel plan as China-Cambodia-China-Japan-China-Canada, when you return to China from Cambodia, your double entry visa is used up, then you go to Japan and apply for a new visa in Japan to return to China.
