scenic train from Xining to Lhasa

I am planning to go from Wuhan to Lhasa, via the scenic train from Xining to Lhasa. Please advise how long the journey will take and where are the transit points along the journey. Also do I need a visa to go there as I am a Singapore national?

To visit Lhasa, the Tibet travel permit is required for foreigners. And from Wuhan to Lhasa, there is one train T264/T265 available, which takes around 43hrs. Or, you can take one train to Xining first and then take the train like K9811 to Lhasa. I haven't heard about any scenic trains running between Xining and Lhasa now.
