How much CNY and USD in cash one can carry for an 8 days business trip? Can I carry both?

Only 5,000 US dollars (or equivalent in any foreign currency) or 20,000 CNY is permitted taken into China no matter how long you will stay in China. If you plans to take more, related documents will be needed and you need to declare to the customs.
