How do I get a China visa if my ARC expires in less than 6 months?

I am living in Korea and I have already booked my trip to China for July. My ARC expires in Sept. Does anyone know how I can get a China visa? What are my options being due to the ARC 6 month expiration rule? Also, is the 6 months from date or travel or date of visa application? Please advise ASAP.

When you submit visa application, your ARC should have at least 6 months validity. Now, your ARC doesn't valid for 6 months, you can't obtain a China visa in Korea. You can mail the original passport and one passport photo to your home country, ask your friend or family member to apply visa for you, once the visa is obtained, mail back the passport to you in Korea.

There are reports that the Busan consulate is less fussy about the ARC, such that if you have less than 6 months (and still more than one month) until your ARC expires they'll be satisfied if you show a Certificate of Foreign Registration (you can get this from an immigration office), and if you've been stamped into China within the last 2 years you don't even need an ARC at all. So check with Busan-based travel agencies.
