About:Shantou Transportation

Whether to Travel from Shantou to Guangzhou by Bus or Train & where to take?

Will be visiting Shantou in June and need advice on whether to get to Guangzhou by Bus or by Train.
Kindly provide links/websites for info regarding the bus / train schedule and the station.
I saw some website with train schedule stating Guangzhou East Railway station and Guangzhou West Railway station and I am confused as to where I will land up at if I were to take a train from Shantou to Guangzhou.

Really wish that some seasoned travellers can kindly offer some advice/ info. Thanks.

If you take train from Shantou to Guangzhou, the train will stop at Guangzhou East Railway Station. You can find the detailed information about this train schedule here: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ .
If you want to take bus, you can go to Shantou general long-distance bus station to find bus to Guangzhou. The bus runs from 08:05 to 18:40 on an interval of about one hour.

I think both are ok. However, there are much more buses to Guanzhou everyday.
