Take subway to Dongzhimen first. There is bus 918 from Dongzhimen Waixiejie to the canyon at 7:30am and the bus back to Beijing at 3:30pm. If you miss that bus, you can take other 918 bus to Pinggu first and then take bus 12 or take taxi to the canyon from Pinggu.1
