About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

I am a UK citizen currently in India, can i get China visa at the Consulate in Kolkata?

Or do i have to go to Delhi to get the tourist visa? Thanks

You are required to provide the original and a copy of permanent residence or work permit which should be valid for at least half a year in India. Or provide your valid Indian visas in India. But if you are visa or permit exempt for residing or working in India, you can apply there for a China visa. To apply through Chinese consulate in Kolkata is ok.
