We are UK passport holders with resident visas for UAE. We would like to visit China in August. We want to fly from Dubai to Bejing, and then visit Xian before going on to Shangai and returning to Dubai. The length of trip is approx 2 weeks. We would be grateful to know what the requirements are and how we can get the visas.

We would like to visit China without doing a package tour. All flights will be booked prior to departure. Is this allowable?
