About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

how can i get a work visa if i am already in china on a tourist visa?

i will travel to china to marry my fiance in July, my employer will not issue me my contract until september, they say i need to travel back to Australia to recieve my work 'Z' visa then go back to China, is that true? or is it possible to give my passport to an embassy or consulate in china to get the new visa? i will work in Shenzhen but marry in Chengdu. I would love some help.

Yes, it is true, you have to return to Australia to apply for work visa, then go back to Mainland China, it is impossible for you to get a work visa in China. Only high level talented people who are needed urgently by China government can apply for work visa in China without leaving China.

I applied for a z visa from China, I sent my documents and my second passport to a visa service provider in Sweden. They sent my passport with z visa back to China, I left China and re-entered without having to go all the way back to Sweden.
