residence permitmarriage in china

i hope this isnt a repost as i just posted this question but my computer froze so i will do it again. sorry if it isi am getting married in a few days in china. then i have to file for a residence permit. my problem is i am on a L visa and have to leave in a little less than 2 weeks. how long does it take to get approved for a 1 yr residence permit and if it takes longer than 2 weeks will they allow me to overstay my 30 day visa without getting into trouble? thanks

Generally, the application will take 3-week to process. But don't worry, you will be given a paper/receipt said your residence permit is under processing.
