About:Baggage Allowance and Transportation

Baggage allowance and seating

We are traveling on a tour from Beijing to Xian and then Xian to Shanghai in October. We will have a 20kg suitcase each, do we have to carry them on board or can we check them in to a luggage car? Also, in a hard sleeper carriage, where do you sit during the day?
Thanks

Normally, each passenger is allowed to take 20 kg (44 pounds) carry-on baggage for free on the train. In the hard sleeper carriage, there are some seats in the aisles. And people could take that seat during the day.
