Hong Kong Disneyland and Tian Tan Buddha On Same Day?

Do you think one could do both Tian Tam Buddah using the cable car and see Hong Kong Disneyland in one day is possible?
I unfortunately have only one day to travel to Lantau island and would like to do both if possible.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi, Mr Paul, I think it is possible to see both in one day. Go to Tian Tam Buddha first and then back to Tung Chung and change to MTR to Disneyland.

Hi Micheal,

I was there last year in May, I stayed at the Sheraton Towers on Kowloon. I had a free day to go out to Lantau. It was very easy and convenient to use the MTR.

Initially we went to Tung Chung Station where you can get on the Ngong Ping cable cars. the line was surprisingly long, not sure if it was a holiday. You are able to get tickets online and it looked like that line was much shorter than the standby line we were in. We did the Crystal Cabin with the glass floors, awesome.

We spent about 3 hours at the Po Lin Monastery and up at the Tin Tan Buddha, took lots of pics. Then back to the cable car to Tung Chung. Took the MTR one stop to Sunny Bay and transferred to the Disneyland Resort Train. Very simple. It's a very small park, you can get through most everything within the rest of the day. Being from the States, I found it very interesting to be able to eat non-traditional park food while there. One must do if you've been to the US Disney parks is to go on the Jungle River Cruise with the English captain. They are notorious for their Chinglish version of the storyline. They have a new area called Grizzly Gulch with a new coaster.

Hope you have a great time.

Paul
