Z-Visa Application Inquiry Regarding Health Insurance for Employee Requirement?

According to the visa application, it asks if I have health insurance. I currently do not have health insurance and according to the employment contract, the company won't provide the insurance. Is it law in China to carry health insurance while on 1-year employment z-visa contract, or is it common for the employer to carry insurance on the foreign employee? Will I be denied a z- visa upon the no-insurance claim?

If you have already got the work permit and inviation letter for Z visa application, then, it is ok. You can just put N/A in the blank. Medical insurance is not a must requiremnt for visa application.
