I would like to photograph the Mutianyu Great Wall at sunrise and/or sunset (which is better, in your opinion?) What is the earliest and latest one can be at the wall? Are there any good accommodations near the wall? What time does the cable cars start and end operating? Thanks.

Mutianyu Great Wall is open 8:00-16:00. You can just stay at the farmhouses in the village at the foot of the wall. The operating time of the cable car is corresponding to that of the scenic spots.
