What were definitive Characteristics of this dynasty? Who were the famous/infamous personlities in that period?

The most distinctive characteristics of this dynasty is that the eunuch monopolized power. I only know the famous character then like Zhu Yuanzhang, Zheng He, Qi Jiguang, Xu Xiake, Zhang Juzheng Li Shizhen and Li Zicheng.
