You can get off the subway at Xizhimen Station, one stop before Jishuitan. Walk to Beijing North Railway Station for trains to Badaling. Then train ticket is 19 or 23RMB. To Mutianyu, you should take subway Line 2 to Dongzhimen Station. Then get out from Exit B to look for the traffic hub in Dongzhimen Waixiejie. There is 936 bus at 8am to Mutianyu directly. If you miss the direct bus, you can take other 936 bus to Huairou and then rent a van to Mutianyu.
