We would like to visit ZhouZhuang and Tongli on the same day. Can this be done by first taking a bus from Suzhou to ZhouZhuang and then stopping by Tongli while going back to Suzhou? Thank you.

It takes about 2 hours from Suzhou to Zhouzhuang by bus, and it takes about 30 minutes from Zhouzhuang to Tongli by bus or tricycle. From Tongli to Suzhou, it takes about 1 hour. To sum it up, you have to spend about 3.5 hours on the way excluding the transit time in between, so I don't think you have enough time to visit Zhouzhuang and Tongli in one day.To save the time, I advise you book such a one-day tour through a China travel company to shorten the time on the way and smooth your trip.
