Question

I am planning a trip to Lijiang this upcoming June. I am interested in doing a side-trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, but am unsure how long it takes. Is it just a day trip from Lijiang? What is the typical itinerary for people visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the various meadows? Also, what are the costs to see each of the meadows? I would appreciate any advice anyone might have.

It just takes about 20-30 minutes from Lijiang to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain by taxi, so one day is enough for the trip. The typical tour route is Dry Sea-White Water River-Spruce Meadow-Yak Meadow. It costs CNY160 to visit them, including the Mountain Entry Fee.

Lijiang is the best place in China. You will miss the whole place if you will stay just a day in Lijiang. If you will go up the Dragon Jade mountain in Yulong be prepared to bring a chocolate and oxygen. Lijiang is cool!
