About:Silk Road

I will be doing the Silk Road by Train in September. Due to time constraints we will not have time to visit the Great Wall close to Beijing. Would like to know if the section of the wall at Jiayugan is in good repair and representative of what is seen in photographs of what the wall close to Beijing.

The main attractions in Jiayuguan is the complex building of the city pass and a part of wall hanging along the mountain back of the pass. It look pretty different from Badaling Great Wall and other wall around Beijing. There is a Great Wall Museum. You can buy a through ticket. I think you should go there. Jiayuguan Pass set off beautifully by the sunset.
