About:Macau Travel

I was wondering if I can go to Macau instead of Hong Kong to re-enter China, because of my chinese visa, which is valid for 30 days, because I'm an American citizen.

Yes, you can exit mainland China either to Hk or Macau to re-enter China for another period of duration in China.
