The old Silk Road has lost its function now instead of modern communications. For part of the routes are in dessert, some places along the Silk Road has disappeared. Some city become tourist place to memorize the previous boom of the Silk Road. The Silk road is from Xian to Xinjiang, via Gansu, Ningxia. The Silk Road is much more like a concept today.4
