Hello I have a booking by Cathay Pacific airlines from Hongkong to Chennai.  I will be travelling either from Shenzhen or Macao by ferry to Hongkong.  Is it possible to check in the baggage and obtain boarding pass at ferry terminal itself.  If I do so, is it possible to go out of Hongkong airport for short time of 8 hours.

You can check in the baggage and obtain boarding pass at the Ferry Terminal.  It is OK for you to go out of Hong Kong airport for 8 hours.
