From Sydney, it is suggested that you take a flight to Shanghai Pudong International Airport and then transfer to Ningbo by a bullet train in 3 hours.

Take taxi from station to center.

i have made this trip may times, no direct flights to Ningbo. i lived there 4 years.
the most convinient way is to fly withy Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong , then to Ningbo with their subsidary DragonAir.
alternativelly you can fly to Shanghai and catch the fast train to Ningbo, a 3 hour comfortable trip that will get you to the Eastern railway station, from there it's a 15 minute drive by cab to the city centre.
